Hillel Fuld – From Tech Visionary to Activist
Tel Aviv [ENA] Hillel Fuld is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Israel’s tech ecosystem. As a blogger, startup advisor, and social media strategist, he has built a global reputation — not only in Israel but across the international tech and media landscape.
Hillel Fuld, born in the United States and raised in Israel since his youth, began his career as a technical writer at Comverse Technology. Alongside his professional work, he launched a blog focused on technology, marketing, and entrepreneurship. His ability to explain complex ideas in accessible language quickly earned him a large following and direct access to leading industry figures such as Marc Andreessen, Gary Vaynerchuk, and Steve Wozniak. He advises startups and sees himself as a bridge between Israeli founders and global investors.
Beyond his role in tech, Hillel Fuld has built an impressive media presence. He runs a YouTube channel featuring interviews with top voices in technology, business, and politics. His content regularly appears in international publications such as TechCrunch, Forbes, Inc. Magazine, and The Jerusalem Post. On platforms like LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram, he reaches hundreds of thousands of people daily. His posts range from startup insights and product reviews to sharp political commentary. Since the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023, he has shifted his focus almost entirely to political advocacy, using his media skills to amplify Israel’s voice in global discourse.
Fuld is one of the few Israeli influencers taken seriously in both the tech and political spheres. His ability to distill complex geopolitical issues into concise, viral messages has made him a sought-after speaker at conferences, panels, and podcasts around the world. On September 16, 2018, Hillel’s brother Ari Fuld, an American-Israeli activist and father of four, was fatally stabbed at the Gush Etzion Junction shopping center by a Palestinian teenager named Khalil Yusef Ali Jabarin. Despite his mortal wounds, Ari managed to chase the attacker, leap over a wall, and shoot him — an act that likely saved the life of another woman.
Ari Fuld was widely known for his pro-Israel advocacy, his support for IDF soldiers, and his strong social media presence. His death sparked national mourning; Prime Minister Netanyahu and U.S. Ambassador David Friedman honored him as a hero. The attacker was sentenced to life in prison in 2020. However, in January 2025, it was revealed that Jabarin was to be released as part of a hostage and ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
The decision drew fierce criticism, especially from Ari Fuld’s family. Adding to the controversy: the Palestinian Authority had previously rewarded Jabarin with a monthly salary of over $1,000 for the killing — a practice known internationally as the “Pay-for-Slay” system, which has been widely condemned. In June 2025, Hillel Fuld was denied entry to Australia by government authorities. He had been scheduled to speak at fundraising events for Magen David Adom, Israel’s equivalent of the Red Cross. The Australian Home Affairs Ministry justified the decision by citing concerns that Fuld might incite “Islamophobia.”
Fuld sees his current role as a fighter against misinformation about Israel. Since the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks, he has largely stepped away from tech consulting and now focuses almost entirely on political advocacy. He produces daily content, speaks at international events, and uses his platform to promote Israel’s perspective in global conversations.
